Matisse Funds is our boutique global asset management arm that uniquely focuses on closed-end fund investing, as we believe the closed-end fund market is inefficient. We run two publicly traded open-end mutual funds that make investments into underlying closed-end funds. Matisse Funds’ current product offerings can provide investors with exposure to a professionally managed portfolio of income-producing closed-end funds.

Matisse Capital separately provides fee-based investment advisory and consulting services to individuals, employers, and nonprofits:

  • For Individuals: We design and implement custom investment strategies for individuals and families. Our professional team builds, monitors, and makes ongoing changes for the investment portfolios of our private clients (typically on a discretionary basis). Most of our individual client portfolios are constructed using traditional open-end mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs), with an emphasis on appropriately managing a client’s overall asset allocation. We supply our individual clients with modernized performance reports to track progress.
  • For Employers: We provide retirement plan management, fiduciary consulting, and participant education services to employers who are seeking to implement (or already have) a company-sponsored retirement plan vehicle.
  • For Nonprofits: We design and implement custom investment strategies for nonprofits. Our professional team builds, monitors, and makes ongoing changes for the investment portfolios of our nonprofit clients (typically on a discretionary basis). We can help our nonprofit clients establish and adhere to an Investment Policy Statement, while also working within and meeting spending targets. We typically provide custom reporting packages for nonprofit investment committees and provide fiduciary education services for committee members. Most of our nonprofit client portfolios are constructed using traditional open-end mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs), with an emphasis on appropriately managing a nonprofit client’s overall asset allocation.
